Care was rated mostly positive, but patients flagged gaps in pre-surgery preparation, phone communication, and paying for voice supplies — issues SLPs can address directly.

These quick tools could supplement detailed assessments in screening or research settings where time is limited.
• CoDAS · 2026 · Case ReportRapid syllable transition treatment (ReST) in children with speech motor delay: case studies.Four Brazilian children with speech motor delay all showed gains in phoneme accuracy and stress after ReST therapy via telepractice. With no control group and only four participants, this is preliminary evidence, not proof the method works.

The testing to confirm the scale actually works has not yet been done, so it is not ready for clinical use.
