• SLPSystematic Review2016A Review of Dysphagia Presentation and Intervention Following Traumatic Spinal Injury: An Understudied Population.DysphagiaTraumatic cervical spine injury cases showed aspiration, pharyngeal residue, reduced pharyngeal movement, and decreased hyolaryngeal elevation. Reported care used tube feeding, diet texture changes, swallowing strategies, and steroids or antibiotics. The evidence was mainly case reports, so it does not prove these treatments work.
