Strategies adopted by the nursing team for the prevention of pressure ulcers in hospitalized older people: a scoping review.

This was a scoping review, so it mapped available literature rather than estimating how effective any strategy is. Only 11 studies were included, and 13 full texts could not be retrieved. The review did not formally assess the methodological quality of included studies. Included studies varied in design and setting, with three from China and 72.73% in English, so findings may not transfer to all hospitals. Some included studies evaluated bundled nursing care, such as conventional care plus continuous nursing, so the contribution of individual components cannot be separated. The search was limited to the listed databases and gray literature sources on June 17, 2024, and no additional studies were identified by other methods.
