Reliability and validity of the Hindi version of international physical activity questionnaire-long-form (IPAQ-LF).

The pilot testing used 64 participants, while the reliability and validity analysis used 60 participants. Participants could move independently and were excluded if they had severe chronic disease, psychiatric or cognitive disease, or recent surgery, so results may not apply to frail or clinical populations. The Hindi version was culturally adapted by replacing and adding activities, so it is not a word-for-word copy of the English questionnaire. Transport, housework, and leisure domains showed poor to fair item agreement, so domain scores in those areas may be less dependable than the total score. Validity was checked only against pedometer step counts, and the paper notes pedometers respond to vertical movement created by walking, jogging, and running. The reliability coefficients reported in the text differ from those shown in Table 2, so the exact test-retest values are uncertain.

Do not treat the Hindi IPAQ-LF as a fully validated measure for all Hindi-speaking patients.
