RN Cohort 2026 A One-Year Study Using Digital Biomarkers From Sensing Technologies to Assess Changes in Physical Activity Levels and Sleep Quality in Nursing Home Residents With Dementia: Observational Study. JMIR nursing In 9 nursing home residents with dementia, contactless radar sleep measures tracked changes over a year, but wrist activity readings were not reliable over time. Device wear was high. OT RN Survey 2026 Understanding Differences in Resident Loneliness/Isolation Across US Nursing Homes: A Multilevel Analysis of MDS 3.0 Data. Journal of the American Medical Directors Association One in five long-stay nursing home residents reported feeling lonely or isolated. Much of the variation was between nursing homes, not counties. Residents with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, hearing or vision impairment, or low CNA care were more likely to report it. RN Cohort 2026 Nurse-Led Patient-Reported Outcome Assessment of Symptom Burden and Quality of Life in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms: An Observational Study. Nursing open In 102 patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms, a nurse-led symptom diary review found moderate-to-severe symptoms were linked to lower quality of life, anxiety and depression. RN Other 2026 Health promotion strategies for adolescents with suicidal behavior: a scoping review. Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da U S P Two linked approaches emerged for adolescents with suicidal behavior: build life skills, peer support and mental health literacy; train teachers, community leaders and families; use digital platforms. Most studies were school-based in high-income countries. RN Cohort 2026 The Influence of Hospitalization and Nursing Interventions on Inpatients' Sleep Quality: A Multicenter Observational Study. Worldviews on evidence-based nursing Sleep quality worsened during hospitalization in 383 noncritical patients, and more night-time nursing intervention days and types were linked to poorer sleep. PT RN Survey 2026 Patients in Every Practice: Health Status and Health Experiences of an International Sample of Adults Born Preterm. Journal of nursing scholarship : an official publication of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Most participants born preterm reported ongoing health concerns, yet 67% had never been asked about preterm birth. Concerns were similar across gestational ages and birth eras, and respiratory, mental health and neurodevelopmental symptoms were common. RN Qualitative 2026 Cognitive Restructuring for Depressive Symptoms Applied by Mental Health Nurses: Designing the Structure and Contents. International nursing review Experts and people with depression drafted a structured cognitive restructuring programme for nurses to use with people who have depressive symptoms. It sets session flow and content, but the paper says it has not yet been tested for feasibility or effectiveness. RN Cohort 2026 Predictors of Resilience Among Patients Living With Heart Failure Amid Escalating Sociopolitical Challenges: A Cross-Sectional Approach. Nursing open Self-care maintenance and management, not depression or quality of life, predicted resilience in heart failure patients. Nurses should focus education on these self-care behaviours rather than assuming psychological distress drives poor adaptation. RN Survey 2026 The Relationship Between Preoperative COVID-19 Fear and Anxiety Level Undergoing Elective Surgery Patients: A Cross-Sectional Study. Nursing open Elective surgery patients scored 31 for state anxiety and 38.6 for trait anxiety on a 20-80 scale, both in the mild range. COVID-19 fear was not linked to state anxiety and only weakly linked to trait anxiety; state and trait anxiety were strongly linked. RN Survey 2026 Association Between Stroke-Related Knowledge and Self-Management Behaviours in Patients With Ischemic Stroke: Serial Mediation by Health Beliefs and Depression. Nursing open In patients recovering from ischemic stroke, better stroke knowledge was linked with stronger health beliefs, fewer depressive symptoms and better self-management. The paper cannot show knowledge caused these behaviours. RN Qualitative 2026 Focus Groups With American Indian/Alaska Native Adults to Discuss Substance Misuse and Access to Services. International journal of addiction nursing American Indian/Alaska Native participants said they are missing from state and federal data, and that stigma, historical trauma, and fear of child removal keep them from seeking substance use help. They asked for early, family-based prevention and culturally appropriate treatment. RN Pilot 2026 Therapeutic potential of a psychosocial intervention in the mental health of women deprived of liberty. Revista brasileira de enfermagem A brief nurse-led intervention lowered depression and tension scores in incarcerated women. However, overall mental disorder symptoms did not improve significantly. The small sample size means this suggests potential rather than proving effectiveness. RN Cohort 2026 Assessment of patients' perception of the use of an implantable cardiac electronic device. Revista brasileira de enfermagem In 76 pacemaker users at a Brazilian clinic, most felt safe, informed, and not physically impaired, and said the device did not bother daily life. Some thought about it daily, and many wanted the public better informed. RN Other 2026 Effectiveness of the PASRR Program Compared With Claims Data in Identifying Nursing Home Admissions With Mental Illness. Journal of the American Medical Directors Association Only 11.3% of nursing home admissions with claims/encounter-derived serious mental illness had a positive PASRR serious mental illness screen. Staff should not rely on that flag alone to identify residents who need mental health care planning. ← Previous PAGE 44 OF 44 Next →
